RoundTalk doesn't ask for your name, email or phone to use the app. We don't sell data and we don't show ads in the app. On Android, we tell Google whether people who arrive from our ads go on to use the app (see Measuring our ads).
We advertise RoundTalk on Google. So that Google shows our ads to people who will actually listen, the Android app sends Google Analytics for Firebase a few milestones: finishing the setup, starting and finishing an episode, seeing the subscription screen and turning on reminders, with your language and level. They are linked to the anonymous account ID and the device's advertising ID, and shared with Google Ads to measure and improve our campaigns. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland they are counted without being used for advertising (no ad storage or personalisation). You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings (the Ads section).
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to know whether your subscription is active; it receives your anonymous account ID and your purchase history, never your payment details.
We count visits and early-access sign-ups with PostHog (EU servers) without cookies. If you join the waiting list, we store your email, language and level only to tell you when your access is ready.
Google Firebase (accounts, database and audio files), Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Ads (ad measurement, Android), RevenueCat (subscription status), PostHog (app and website analytics, EU servers), Vercel (website hosting). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
You can delete the app at any time; your anonymous account then stays inactive. To have your data or waiting list email deleted, write to us at roundtalk.vercel.app/support (also linked from the RoundTalk pages on the App Store and Google Play) and we'll erase it.
Episodes are produced with AI. The panelists are fictional characters and don't represent real people.
